Biography

A thirty seven year MEP veteran, Steve’s career in building services began as a plumber in the early 1980s, spending a number of years on board the Royal Navy’s aircraft carriers before returning to focus upon commercial heating and plumbing.

Joining JD Engineering in 2016 as a self-employed plumber/fitter, his expertise, leadership and organisational abilities led to him being awarded a full-time position as Project Manager soon thereafter.

During his time with the company, Steve has supported some of our largest clients and highest profile projects, from Guy’s Hospital in London and Liverpool’s iconic Liverpool One development to nuclear fuels supplier, Urenco and Liverpool John Moores University.

Key responsibilities

  • Overseeing the planning and delivery of projects
  • Organising logistics, keeping track of costs and delegating work to the project team
  • Client, supplier, subcontractor and design team liaison
  • Managing time, risk and setting targets
  • Overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the project
