Ian McLean promoted to Electrical Contracts Manager
On behalf of the whole team here at JD Engineering, we'd like to congratulate Ian McLean on being appointed to the position of Electrical Contracts Manager.
A hugely-respected M&E professional and, until recently, the Company’s Electrical Estimator, Ian brings to his new role a wealth of knowledge and experience gained over a 35 year career in estimating.
Starting his M&E journey with EMS in the 1980s, Ian worked for the likes of R L Martindale, Morris & Spottiswood and EI WHS on a variety of education, healthcare, office fit out and retail projects before joining JD Engineering in 2020.
Key responsibilities
- Negotiation of terms and conditions with both clients and third parties
- The production of contracts and other legal documents
- Assessing the levels of risk associated with projects
- Financial monitoring and control of contracts
- Estimating and project management
I'm delighted to have been offered the position of Electrical Contracts Manager and couldn't be more pleased that the Board have have put their faith in me. I'm looking forward to many more years spent here at JD Engineering.
